Ned Rust will leave his position as vp, publisher, James Patterson books, to pursue other opportunities.

Samantha Smith will join on February 3 as vp, publisher for James Patterson books, reporting to Little, Brown president and publisher Sally Kim. Smith joins from Pan Macmillan, where she was most recently publisher, fiction and nonfiction, children’s and YA.

Seema Mahanian has been promoted to executive editor.

Phoebe Kosman has joined as head of marketing and communications. She was formerly director of publicity at Candlewick Press, Holiday House Publishing, and Peachtree Publishing.

Julie Finidori has joined ACM UK as agent. She will be based in Paris, representing French-language books in France and English-language books internationally. She joins from her own agency in Paris.

Helen Lane joins as agent. She was previously with Booker Albert Agency.

Maggie Thompson has been promoted to director of US scouting.

Leticia Vila-Sanjuan has been promoted to director of international scouting.
