Heather Fain will join as svp, publishing, marketing and backlist strategy on October 30, reporting to Maya Mavjee. Fain will lead the marketing team and backlist marketing and publishing strategy for the Vintage catalog. Most recently she was COO at Pushkin Industries, after many years at Hachette Book Group, where she was svp of marketing strategy and deputy publisher for Little, Brown.

Springer Nature   

Saskia Steinacker will join on November 1 in the new role of chief digital officer. She has been svp, strategy & digital transformation at Bayer. “This forms part of the company’s wider commitment to using sustainable and innovative technology to develop new products, platforms and services for the community, supporting them as they advance scientific discovery and find solutions to the world’s pressing challenges.”

Christine Calella has been promoted to publicity manager.

Rebecca Rozenberg has been promoted to publicity manager.

Chonise Bass has been promoted to senior publicist.

Shannon Hennessey has been promoted to senior publicist.

Omesha Edwards has been promoted to publicist.

Martha Langford has been promoted to publicist.

Simon & Schuster Children's   

Katie Boni has joined as a senior publicist. She was most recently a marketing & publicity associate manager at Page Street Publishing.

Christina Solazzo has been promoted to director, managing editorial for Simon Spotlight, Libros para niños, Little Simon, Boynton Bookworks, Aladdin, and Simon Pulse.

Emma Saska has been promoted to associate production editor.

On the education & library marketing team, Nia Todd has been promoted to associate marketing manager and Caleigh Flegg has been promoted to assistant marketing manager.

Hachette Book Group   

Derek Meehan has been promoted to associate director, field sales.

Kelly O’Sullivan joins as representative for independent bookstores in the Northern states and will be based in Connecticut. Kelly was previously RJ Julia Booksellers as book buyer and merchandising manager.

Caroline Barbee will serve independent bookstores in the Southern states and will be based in North Carolina. She was previously book buyer at Friendly City Books in Columbus, MS.

Little, Brown   

Keith Hayes has joined as senior art director. He was most recently creative director at Flatiron Books.

June Park has joined as art director. She was previously senior designer at FSG.

Fia Senesie has joined as studio manager.

Kirin Diemont has been promoted to associate art director.

Allison Merchant has been promoted to designer.

Gallery Books   

Kimberly Laws has been promoted to associate editor.

Sierra Fang-Horvath has been promoted to assistant editor.
