She will focus “on a broad range of formats, platforms, and markets, including traditional print and emerging digital products,” overseeing both trade subsidiary rights and college and trade permissions.

Nicola DeRobertis-Theye has been promoted to director, subsidiary rights.

Megan Schindel has been promoted to director, college and trade permissions.

Kathryn Rexrode has joined the the Association of American Publishers in the new position of chief communications officer. SVP, communications John McKay will report to her. She has spent more than two decades as a writer and communications strategist on Capitol Hill, working for members of Congress, the House Judiciary Committee and US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

After eleven years, Whitney Peeling and Michael Taeckens at Broadside PR canceled their contractual work with the Whiting Foundation.

Open Road will serve as the exclusive ebook distributor for the group’s component publishers as well as their distribution clients, starting November 1.

Simon & Schuster UK   

Publishing director of adult fiction Clare Hey has left Simon & Schuster UK.

Candlewick Press, Holiday House, and Peachtree   

Emma Ledbetter has joined Candlewick as executive editorial director of picture books. She was previously editorial director of picture books at Abrams Children’s.

Cameron Moore has been promoted to associate national account manager, libraries & educators.
