Wiley is in the process of laying off 103 employees in New Jersey, according to a WARN notice. The company did not specify which roles or departments were affected. The terminations are listed as taking place in five waves between November 15 and February 15.

A company spokesperson told PL, “As we’ve discussed in our recent financial updates, Wiley is making organizational changes to support our business strategy, focus our portfolio, and meet the evolving needs of our customers. We continue to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiencies. This includes a targeted reduction in roles across our global operations to meet current business needs including 103 positions in New Jersey.”

Longtime president and publisher Karen Lotz will become publishing director-at-large and will continue to work with select authors.

Katie Cunningham will become senior vice president, editorial, and associate publisher.

Mary Lee Donovan has been promoted to executive editorial director.

Kate Fletcher and Sarah Ketchersid have been promoted to editorial director.

Andrea Tompa has been promoted to senior executive editor.

Kaylan Adair has been promoted to senior executive editor and director of editorial operations.

Carter Hasegawa and Miriam Newman have been promoted to senior editor.

Harper Collins   

Matt Gannon is joining as senior director of warehouse operations, reporting to Skip Fischer.

Cottage Door Press   

Chris Kouzes has joined as senior vice president of sales.

CAA   

Rachel Mann has joined as a publishing agent in the books department in London. She was previously an agent at the Jo Unwin Literary Agency.
