Jenna Lettice has been promoted to senior editor, Random House Brands & Graphic.

Karen Brochu has promoted to publisher, and Douglas Richmond has been named editorial director. The appointments follow last week’s news that former publisher Leigh Nash is founding a new publishing house called Assembly Press.

As part of the transition of senior agents from Irene Goodman Literary Agency, Natalie Lakosil has founded Looking Glass Literary & Media, a full-service team “whose priority is championing authors and books that reflect the diverse world around us.” Joining her from Irene Goodman Literary Agency are associate agents Grace Milusich (also publicity & marketing coordinator), Antoinëtte V. Sluytman (also film & media coordinator), and Lee O’Brien. Foreign rights are represented by Baror International.

Managing director Larry Finlay will retire at the end of 2023, after 40 years with the company. The company will hold an open recruitment to find a successor.

Finlay told The Bookseller, “When I first answered that job ad in 1983, no one – least of all me – could possibly have imagined I’d still be at Transworld four decades later – and still loving my job. While so much has changed in the business in that time, the beating heart of Transworld remains the same: passion for our authors, belief in their books, and a hunger for success.”
