The National Book Foundation will add a fifth category to the National Book Awards, for books in translation. Starting with the awards ceremony this November, the prize will honor the author and translator of a work of fiction or nonfiction that has been translated into English and published in the US. Submissions open for the new prize on March 7, along with the other categories.
