Bloomsbury Publishing has acquired academic publisher IB Tauris for £5.8 million, with £4.8 million paid in cash at completion and up to £1 million to be paid post-completion, subject to adjustments. IBT has a backlist of 4,000 titles, specializing in Middle East studies, history, politics and international relations, and publishes around 200 new titles a year.
