Bertelsmann issued its characteristically brief third quarter trading report, noting “slight organic revenues growth of 1.6 percent,” with book publishing called out as among the “particularly robust” businesses in their portfolio. Companywide, third quarter sales were approximately €4.15 billion, down somewhat from €4.19 billion a year ago, but a much smaller decline than the 8.9 percent drop in the first six months.
