The next books in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium series will have a new publisher in Sweden. Polaris has acquired the Swedish rights for books 7, 8, and 9 in the series, from Moggliden, which manages Larsson’s estate. Hedlund Literary Agency represents Moggliden. The previous books were published by Norstedts. The author for the new books has not yet been named. David Lagercrantz wrote books 4-6 in the series after Larsson’s death. Bookselling: Word Jersey City to Move Locations, Porter Square Books Expands
Word Bookstore in Jersey City is moving to a new location off of Hamilton Park, with plans to reopen in February 2022. The new space of 1,200 square feet is less than half the size of the current space, which originally accommodated a cafe that closed two years ago. To prepare for the move, owners hope to whittle down inventory over the holidays. After two years of preparation, Porter Square Books in Cambridge, MA recently opened its second location in Boston’s Seaport District.

AAP Expands Sustainability and DEI Work
The Association of American Publishers announced it is expanding its work into climate and sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in public policy, as voted on by its board of directors. AAP president and ceo Maria A. Imprints: Webtoon Unscrolled
Webtoon and Wattpad are launching a new graphic novel imprint, Webtoon Unscrolled, which will bring previously digital-only Webtoon comics to bookstores. The imprint’s inaugural list will debut in fall 2022 and include Tower of God by SIU and True Beauty by Yaongyi. Bobbie Chase will join as executive editor. She was previously vice president of global publishing initiatives & digital strategy at DC Entertainment.
