Bookselling: Paper Source to Open in Two B&Ns
Paper Source will launch a shop within two Barnes & Noble stores this holiday season– Hingham, MA, opening on November 19, and the Morrison shopping center in Charlotte, NC, opening on November 22. Imprints: Gagosian To Launch Picture Books with Cline
The Gagosian gallery in New York is launching an imprint in December in collaboration with author Emma Cline that will pair authors with visual artists on individual books. The series’ inaugural titles will be Ottessa Moshfegh’s MY NEW NOVEL, alongside artwork by Issy Wood, and Percival Everett’s GRAND CANYON, INC., featured with art by Richard Prince. Future authors will include Mary Gaitskill and Elif Batuman. Peter Mendelsund will design the books. National Book Award Winners: Mott, Miles, Espada, and More
Jason Mott‘s Hell of a Book (Dutton) won the fiction prize at the 72nd Annual National Book Awards on Wednesday evening. Luis Alberto Urrea presented the award at the end of a virtual-only ceremony, which was broadcast in part from the Penguin Random House offices.
