UK bookseller Blackwell’s is in talks with buyers, after canceling plans to transfer ownership of the 18-store chain to staff. The company has been owned by the same family since the founding of its first store in Oxford 1879. Accounting firm Begbies Traynor has been appointed to oversee the sale. Plans to hand the store over to the staff were reportedly disrupted by the pandemic.
