The 56th edition of The Associated Press Stylebook, released on Wednesday, includes updated guidance for reporting on race, gender, disability, and more, as well as a new chapter on inclusive storytelling, Poynter reports. Among the updates are recommendations to capitalize Deaf when referring to the Deaf community and to use they/them/their as much as possible for individuals who use those pronouns.
