The Mystery Writers of America announced a new award, the $2,000 Lilian Jackson Braun Award “for the best full-length, contemporary cozy mystery published by an MWA-approved publisher.” The prize is named after the author of “The Cat Who…” series, who died in 2011. The winner will be announced at the Edgar Awards banquet in New York City each spring.
