Globe Pequot Publishing Group has acquired selected assets from Tuscon, AZ-based Rio Nuevo Publishers, which includes effectively all of its backlist. Robert Marsh, president of Globe Pequot, said in a statement, “The addition of Rio Nuevo gives Globe Pequot a much stronger selection of Southwestern titles and continues the expansion of our nation-wide regional publishing focus. We have long admired this list and are delighted to bring it under the Globe Pequot umbrella.” “I can’t think of a better home for our titles than Globe Pequot,” said Ross Humphreys at Rio Nuevo.
