The Dayton Literary Peace Prize awards have been given to The Veins of the Ocean by Patricia Engel for fiction, and What Have We Done by David Wood for nonfiction. Canada’s Giller Prize announced their shortlist on Monday, with the winner to be named November 20. Three authors, asterisked, have been shortlisted before.
