Wiley announced earnings for the first quarter ended July 31, with sales down 2 percent to $397 million, again due to lost revenue from their divested businesses. Operating income grew 7 percent to $31 million and income before taxes was $18 million, compared to $23 million last year. Wiley has continued to partner with AI companies, including a deal with Anthropic that was announced in July.
