On March 4, Knopf will publish a new novel by Americanah author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. DREAM COUNT is “the story of four women and their loves, longings, and desires,” according to a release, and it will have a first printing of 250,000. Rights were sold by Sarah Chalfant at The Wylie Agency. The book will publish simultaneously by Fourth Estate in the UK and Knopf in Canada. Rights have also been sold in 13 other territories.

Publishers File Amended Complaint Against Iowa Book Ban Law
Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan, and Simon & Schuster, as well as The Authors Guild and authors including John Green and Jodi Picoult, have filed a new complaint in their suit against a book banning law in Iowa. The case has been litigated since late last year: In December a district court enjoined the law, but after an appeal by the state, the appellate court reversed the decision and sent it back to the district court.
