The MacArthur Foundation named its 2026 fellows. The writers in the cohort include poet Layli Long Soldier, fiction writers Maaza Mengiste and Bryan Washington, historians Elizabeth Ellis and Ariel Ron, sociologist and energy policy researcher Holly Jean Buck, and philosopher and cognitive scientist Felipe De Brigard.
