National Book Awards Longlist: Fiction

The National Book Foundation announced its final longlist, for the fiction award. The list features eights debuts, including works from Jonathan Escoffery and Alejandro Varela, which were included in our Buzz Books anthologies. One title, by Fatimah Asghar, has not been released yet, currently due to publish on October 18. As a group, the longlisted titles have accrued print book sales of just over 15,000 copies so far according to NPD Bookscan.
