Maria Shriver’s imprint The Open Field will publish a book by former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger, with Michael D’Antonio, on October 17.  Renegade: My Life in Faith, the Military, and Defending America from Trump’s Attack on Democracy examines “the forces that led to the attacks on the Capitol. The publisher writes in a release, “In Renegade, Kinzinger reveals the inner workings and surprising findings of the [January 6th] committee he served and helped lead, including how the bloody attack on the Capitol was indeed foreseeable and even welcomed by President Trump.”

Amanda Gorman’s next book SOMETHING, SOMEDAY, a children’s picture book illustrated by Christian Robinson, will be published by Viking Children’s on September 26. The publisher writes in the release that the book “pairs Gorman’s inspiring text with Robinson’s iconic art to deliver a timeless message of hope.” Gorman said, “I wrote Something, Someday to show that though it might be difficult, when we work together, even the smallest acts of kindness can lead to the largest positive change. Mitt Romney cooperated extensively, and “secretly,” with reporter McKay Coppins for her book ROMNEY: A RECKONING will be published by Scribner on October 24. Axios reports that Romney “has turned over hundreds and hundreds of private emails, text messages and diary entries to Coppins and gave her over 30 interviews, along with full editorial control. Barbra Streisand’s long-awaited memoir MY NAME IS BARBRA will be published by Viking on November 7. Titled after her 1965 album and television special, the deal was first announced in 2015. Streisand, who is 80, told Jimmy Fallon in 2021 that she had already written more than 800 pages.
