Jamie Lynn Spears will publish a memoir on January 18, 2022, announced on Friday by HBG’s Worthy Publishing through their ONIX feed and on the company website. The news was controversial because they had the book titled, I MUST CONFESS: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out, quoting a line from sister Britney’s “…Baby One More Time”. Controveries: Cohen’s Book Has New Publisher, Title
Richard Cohen’s work of history, cancelled in May by Random House due to “the publisher’s sensitivities” over how he represented the roles of Black people and African Americans, has a new publisher — along with a new title. Simon & Schuster will publish the book, retitled Making History, in May 2022, and Weidenfeld & Nicolson has rescheduled their edition as well. Forthcoming: Egan’s New Novel
The Candy House, Jennifer Egan‘s “hotly anticipated sibling novel” to her Pulitzer Prize-winning A Visit from the Goon Squad, will be published by Scribner on April 5, 2022 (and by Little Brown UK’s Corsair). It features “entwined characters and plot points that overlap with A Visit from the Goon Squad….” Egan says it, “Follows a number of its peripheral characters into their own futures and pasts to create an independent work with a new set of preoccupations and center of gravity, but equal affinity for technology, humor, and structural freedom.”
