Longtime chief operating officer Andrew Mandel will leave the company on December 1 after more than 17 years there.

Mara Anastas joins in the newly created role of vp business development and publishing relations, reporting to cro Mary McAveney. She was previously at Simon & Schuster.

Lisa Echenthal has joined in the newly created position of business development manager, reporting to vp business development Heidi Sachner. She was previously a buyer at Barnes & Noble.

Hannah Deuce joined the digital marketing team at Bloodhound. She was previously at Hachette UK.

Laura Voorhees is promoted to executive director of production, reporting to ceo Paul Slavin.

Reporting to director of content strategy Catherine Phelan, Lisa Quigley has joined as senior editor, The Lineup and Murder & Mayhem, and Kaytie Norman has been promoted to senior editor, Early Bird Books. Kelsey McConnell has been promoted to assistant editor, reporting to Quigley. MacKenzie Stuart has been promoted to editor, The Archive, reporting to Norman.

Nicole Matura has joined as marketing operations coordinator at Early Bird Books. Ed Bambara joins the Newsletters/Audience Development team from Canon USA. Both report to executive director of audience insights Mason Kostinsky.

Daniela Rapp has joined as senior editor, acquisitions. She was most recently senior editor at St. Martin’s.

The Countryman Press   

James Jayo has joined as senior editor. He was previously senior editor at Penguin Books.
