Random House Children's   

Suzanne Lee and Jen Valero have been promoted to senior designer.

University of Chicago Press   

Karen Levine has joined as executive editor for art and ancient studies. Most recently she was editor in chief at Getty Publications. She succeeds recently retired executive editor Susan Bielstein.

Penguin Random House Canada   

Anya Oberdorf has rejoined as business manager, reporting to Barry Gallant. She Anya was previously senior manager, corporate development at Penguin Random House in New York.

Joey Arredondo has been promoted to office services coordinator at the publisher’s Toronto locations.

Geraldine Gamit has joined on a six-month contract as royalty accountant.

KT Literary   

Laurel Symonds has joined as a literary agent. She was previously a literary agent at The Bent Agency.

Association of American Publishers   

J. Carl Maxwell has joined as vice president, public policy. He is based in Washington, DC and reports to svp, government affairs Shelley Husband. He was with the American Chemical Society for 19 years, most recently managing government affairs, including open science and sustainability issues.

The Science Factory   

The literary agency has changed its name to Curious Minds. As founder Peter Tallack writes, “Our original mission remains unchanged: we still believe that knowledge about the world should be shared with readers around the world, and we will continue to represent scientists and science communicators who share that mission. But as we’ve grown, our curiosity has pushed us into new areas: philosophy, business, history, current affairs, practical nonfiction, to name a few. As Curious Minds, we’ll remain committed to representing authors of rigorous, thought-provoking nonfiction for curious readers, but we’re excited to carry that ethos into all sorts of new collaborations with writers from more diverse backgrounds.”

The rebrand includes a new URL, and thus new email addresses as well.
