New York Magazine   

Maris Kreizman will join Vulture as books editor on August 1.

Zibby Books   

Kathleen Harris will join as executive editor of Zibby Books and content editor for the Moms Don’t Have Time To website on July 25.

Kristine Anderson will join as trade marketing director, starting on July 25. Kristine was most recently marketing director at Quarto.

Sierra Grazia will join as marketing associate on August 1.

Megan Ruggiero joins the ZCast team as marketing manager starting on July 19.

Candlewick Press   

Ainslie Campbell-Schwartz has been promoted to assistant editor.

Janella Angeles has been promoted to contracts & rights administrator.

Amazon Publishing   

Kristin Lunghamer has been promoted to publicity lead.

Barnes & Noble Education   

The company appointed four independent directors to the board: Mario Dell’Aera, Jr., Kathryn (“Kate”) Eberle Walker, Denise Warren, and cio of Outerbridge Capital Management Rory Wallace.

Lowell W. Robinson and Zachary Levenick stepped down from their seats.

CEO Michael Huseby said. “We believe the addition of these fresh perspectives will help us continue our momentum to drive profitable growth across BNED and extend our leadership in education as we deliver best-in-class solutions for our students, schools and partners and enhance value for our shareholders.”

Half-Price Books   

D Magazine notes the chain’s 50th anniversary: “CEO of Half Price Books is named Sharon Anderson Wright, but everyone from booksellers to board members knows her as Boots.” The company has 123 stores in 19 states, and is the largest member of the American Booksellers Association. They stopped sharing annual sales data a number of years ago, with sales of $260 million as of 2016. The company’s largest continuing bestseller is The History of Farting.
