People 8/10

August 11, 2022
By Michael Cader

Abrams Press and The Overlook Press

Jamison Stoltz has been promoted to editorial director of both Abrams Press and The Overlook Press.

Tina Pohlman will join as executive editor for the two lines. Most recently she has been an agent at Ross Yoon Agency.

Tracy Carns will leave the company at the end of August to enter a graduate playwriting program. She says “It’s bittersweet to be leaving Abrams and Overlook and so many books and authors I’ve been privileged to publish…. All that said, I am beyond excited about my decision to pursue an MFA and am confident that the list founded by Peter Mayer and built by both of us…will continue to evolve and grow in the smart and energetic hands of editorial director Jamison Stoltz, publisher Michael Sand, and the team at Abrams.”

Bold Type Agency

Nerrilee Weir, former senior rights manager at Penguin Random House Australia, and Fiona Henderson, former publishing director at Simon & Schuster Australia, have formed a rights agency that will focus on representing local literary agents and publishers in international markets and in book to screen adaptations. Their first client is Left Bank Literary; BTA will represent the agency’s authors in all international markets and for book to screen.

HarperCollins

Michael D’Angelo has been promoted to marketing manager.

Delaney Heisterkamp has been promoted to marketing coordinator.

The Hamilburg Agency

Lucy Hamilburg and Halley Parry have joined forces to reopen the agency with their own lists of clients, “while embracing the legacy that comes before us.”
