Twelve   

Publisher Sean Desmond has left the company, to take an editorial position at another publisher that is still to be formally announced. Grand Central has not made any announcement about Twelve’s future yet.

Harper Collins   

EVP, operations Larry Nevins has decided to retire at the end of the year after 22 years at the company, and almost 40 years in publishing. He joined Harper in 2001 to head the supply chain team: “During his tenure at Harper Collins, Larry has brought about significant improvements to our operations, including enhancing our manufacturing programs, leveraging our buying power, sourcing globally, and reducing our costs.”

ABA   

Philomena Polefrone joined as advocacy associate manager. She was previously a bookseller and a lecturer at Columbia University.

Library Journal   

Hallie Rich has become editor-in-chief. She was previously chief communications & external relations officer at Cuyahoga County Public Library.

Prepub Alert editor Barbara Hoffert will retire on September 14 after 37 years.

Janklow & Nesbit UK   

Hayley Steed will move over as a literary agent starting September 12, after seven years at Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency.

Open Road   

Zhengdao Song has been promoted to svp, data analytics.
