Porscha Burke has been appointed to the newly created position of director, strategic projects, reporting to Gina Centrello. She will “be responsible for helping our Group realize and advance our divisional and departmental initiatives, priorities, and goals” with a portfolio “large in scope and resonance.” She will lead DEI priorities, spearhead onboarding and training new staff, and coordinate office reopening. She was previously at Clarkson Potter, where she will continue as contributing senior editor-at-large.

Michael Tizzano is joining as associate editor. He was most recently at Countryman Press.

Maggie Sivon has been named head of books PR, managing communications across the book business. Dennelle Catlett has been named head of publicity, Amazon Publishing, managing publicity and communications across imprints.

Daniella Wexler has joined as senior editor, acquiring for Harper One, Harper Via, and Amistad. She was most recently at Atria.

Neda Dallal joins as assistant marketing manager. She was previously at the Penguin Random House speaker’s bureau.

Rachel Brown has been promoted to editor, food & lifestyle. Julie Forrest is joining on contract as imprint sales manager, young readers.

Christian Westermann has been promoted to associate manager, field sales and retail marketing.
