Media Do   

Beth Kawasaki has joined in the newly created role of executive director of content and marketing. She will “oversee the e-publisher’s content strategy business, develop growth initiatives, and expand Media Do’s global portfolio and distribution infrastructure.” She was previously at VIZ Media, Loot Crate, and Funimation.

“Ms. Kawasaki’s expertise with manga, anime, and multimedia entertainment content will allow her to play a pivotal role in creating new global business opportunities and brand partnerships,” Daihei Shiohama, president and ceo of Media Do International said.

Zandra Magariño will join on August 30 as svp of human resources, reporting to Brian Murray. She will oversee all of the company’s HR functions around the world, and will join the global executive committee. She was previously at ThinkFoodGroup.

Eerdmans   

Lydia Hall has been promoted to production editor.

Alexis Cutler has been promoted to publicist.

Kathleen Merz has been promoted to editorial director for Eerdmans Books for Young Readers (EBYR).

Courtney Zonnefeld has been promoted to assistant editor for EBYR.

Holly Hoover has been promoted to art director for EBYR.

John Murray Press   

Sarah Arratoon has been named marketing director, reporting to director of communications and trade publishing Rosie Gailer. She was previously at Pan Macmillan.

Sourcebooks   

Mandy Chahal has been promoted to associate marketing manager of Poisoned Pen Press.

Random House Children's   

In subsidiary rights, Kristina Forest has been promoted to associate manager and Dakota Reed has been promoted to assistant manager.
