Denne Michele Norris joins as editor-in-chief. She was previously a fiction editor at The Rumpus and Apogee Journal.

Chairman and non-fiction publisher Alan Samson left the company on Friday after 18 years. Orion managing director Katie Espiner said: “Alan is a true publishing legend and a real class act. His impact on Orion over the past 18 years has been immense and we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude for the work he has done here, leaving W&N with a rich roster of stars and icons.”

W&N will hire a senior publisher focused on serious nonfiction.

Heather Glenn has been promoted to director of sales and marketing.
