Sophie Partridge will join as vp, Play on October 4. She was previously evp, global publisher for Phoenix International Publications Inc.

Nia Todd will join as children’s education assistant marketing manager. She was most recently with Media Source, Inc.

Lisa Pegram has joined as an acquisitions editor. She previously served as DC Writers Corps program director.

Marleigh Price will join as acquisitions editor on October 11, handling for narrative non-fiction for the Life division. She will report to publishing director for Life Katie Cowan. She was previously at Orion/Trapeze.

Valerie Boyd and Cynthia R. Greenlee have been named editors-at-large, representing the Press in seeking book projects in a wide range of subjects, including foodways, gender, history, journalism, labor, politics, race, justice and the South, broadly interpreted.

Rachel Hecht Children’s Scouting has been appointed the children’s & YA book scout for Oneworld’s Rock the Boat imprint in the UK.

Daniel del Valle has been promoted to director of marketing for FSG and Picador. Asharee Peters has joined as marketing coordinator. She was previously at Macmillan Audio.

Brian Gittis and Steve Weil have both been promoted to associate director, publicity. Claire Tobin has been promoted to associate publicist at FSG. Jonathan Woollen has been promoted to assistant publicist.

Lottchen Shivers becomes director of publicity at Picador, and will still manage authors at FSG. Madeline Day has been promoted to assistant publicist at Picador.
