At HarperAudio, Sean McManus was promoted to senior director. In addition, Caitlin Garing moves up to senior producer and Erin Wicks has been promoted to producer.

The Elina Ahlback Literary Agency, based in Helsinki and focused on representing Finnish authors, illustrators and publishers to the US market, has recently opened an office in New York, headed by Laura Palotie. She is based out of Makeshift Brooklyn.

Caroline Sloan is joining IPR License to head its licensing team. She has been foreign rights manager at Cornerstone.

World Book Night US reports that year-to-date sales of the titles they gave away this year are up 8 percent over last year. Executive director Carl Lennertz writes: "Sales is not one of our key metrics, but it's still great to see. It shows us that the WBN editions are going to non-book-buyers and with no negative impact on sales; only positive."
