Distribution News Treasure Trove, the company created to publish the bestselling A Treasure’s Trove books, has made a distribution agreement with Simon & Schuster for their future titles, which include a sequel treasure hunt book, SECRETS OF THE ALCHEMIST DAR, presenting clues to finding 100 hidden rings worth over $2.5 million overall. S&S will distribute the books as part of their Simon Scribbles line. Treasure Trove founder Michael Stadther was represented by agent Bob DiForio in negotiations for the agreement. Personnel News Justin Loeber has been appointed svp, executive director of marketing and publicity for Regan Media, starting in early January. (Paul Crichton left the imprint recently.) Loeber has been director of publicity for Atria and Washington Square Press since last year, but previously worked at HarperCollins as publicity director for Harper and Ecco. Also at Harper, Sandee Roston will be join the children’s book division as executive director of publicity in early December. She was associate publisher at Avalon. Sheehan’s Book Lands This Week “Peace mom” Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq who has drawn attention for her campaign against the war, has written a book that is being issued by Hawaii’s Koa Books on Wednesday. It’s the first book from the press, which says they have printed 20,000 copies to start. Founder Arnie Kotler (also the founding director of Parallax Press) intends to focus on books “on personal transformation, progressive politics, and native cultures.” The AP reports, “Sheehan, who met Kotler through a mutual friend, said she accepted Kotler’s offer rather than work with […]
