Steve Rosato has been promoted to event director of BEA after serving in various roles for the show since 1998, most recently as director of industry development & strategic accounts.

Editorial director of digital publishing for Morrow/Avon/Eos Margot Schupf will move to Sterling as vp, publisher Sterling Innovation starting January 25.

Frances Gilbert has been promoted to vp, publisher of Sterling Children’s, which includes the imprints Sterling Children’s Books, Sandy Creek Press, Begin Smart and Flash Kids. And Harold Lee joins the company this week as vp, finance.

At Dystel & Goderich Literary Management, agent Stacey Glick has been named vice president. Rachel Oakley has joined the agency as Jane Dystel’s assistant.

Two-time National Book Award winner (for Bridge to Terabithia and Jacob Have I Loved) Katherine Paterson, 77, will take over from Jon Scieszka as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, the Library of Congress announced.
