Simon & Schuster has relaunched their trade web site, www.simonandschuster.biz. It includes a blog for booksellers from their marketing staff and tools for authors to enter customized information about themselves and blog posts that appear on their consumer web site. It also provides handy access to company’s own digital catalog–where we spotted former Bear Stearns ceo Ace Greenberg’s June book, The Rise and Fall of Bear Stearns.

Scribd reports that their new mobile feature does work on DRM-free purchased content; just not on DRM-protected paid documents and books.

Summit Entertainment “continues to deny — and did so again today — that that decision has yet been made” on whether to make Stephenie Meyer’s BREAKING DAWN into two separate movies, but Nikke Finke says it’s “definitive.” The Hollywood Reporter notes they might be shot in 3D as well, also observing that “the cast is only signed through four films, which should make for a very intense round of renegotiating.”
