At Media Source, Library Journal and School and Library Journal publisher Ron Shank has been named publisher of The Horn Book as well. Ian Singer has joined the company as vp, content and business development. Most recently he was vp, data services for Bowker. Andrew Thorne was named vp, marketing.

In announcements, Classic Media has struck a new deal with original Where’s Waldo? publisher the Walker Group for an unspecified “first-ever spin-off program” that “will feature all-new material that will be released across a variety of exciting and innovative formats.” Whatever it is, it will launch in 2012.
