Karp adds, “In making the move to S&S, Trish recently expressed to me her desire to shift her focus away from management and return exclusively to her greatest joy, editing.”
Shambhala Publications president and publisher Peter Turner is leaving the company at the end of the year. He says, “It’s been an extraordinarily rich and rewarding time for me. I leave Shambhala knowing that it is solidly positioned to take full advantage of the emerging digital landscape, especially through the direct marketing expertise we’ve developed over the last few years. I’ve never been more excited and optimistic about the potential growth opportunities for smaller, niche-oriented publishing houses, but after 12 as Shambhala’s CEO and publisher, it’s time for a fresh start for me and for Shambhala. I will be pursuing a number of opportunities, including a new venture aimed at leveraging community-based niche marketing to take full advantage of the new dynamics emerging in the publishing industry.”
