Rodrigo Corral joins FSG as creative director starting in early April. He is currently (and will remain) head of Rodrigo Corral Design.

Susan Piver has been named editor-at-large for Shambhala Publications.

Yvette Chin has joined Digital Book World as content editor, where she will write articles, coordinate contributors, and help map out editorial strategy for the community site.

Amazon books editor Tom Nissley is leaving the company after more than ten years to devote more time to writing, funded largely from his recent stint on Jeopardy, where the eight-time-champion won more than $250,000.

Ralph Kohn, who managed Kepler’s Bookstore from 1960 through 1997, died February 23 at the age of 93. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM today in Palo Alto.

Marketing and digital production firm Trailer Park has launched a new division, Trailer Park Publishing, to “enable publishing houses and content creators to transform their books and create digital reading experiences for mobile phones, tablets and e-readers.”

Austin Ratner has won the $100,000 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature for his debut novel The Jump Artist (Bellevue Literary Press.)
