February 2, 2012By Sarah Weinman

The long-running saga of Dorchester’s financial troubles continued this week with the departure of editorial director Chris Keeslar, the last remaining editorial staffer at the house, on January 31. In a letter to colleagues obtained by author Brian Keene, Keeslar said he was “no longer employed by Dorchester or collecting mail from this address” and directed queries to the five remaining employees at Dorchester, none of whom hold editorial positions. Massachusetts Governor to Publish Digital Short; Price Promotion Launches New Pelecanos

February 2, 2012By Michael Cader

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is writing a digital-only “pamphlet” for Hyperion, FAITH IN THE DREAM: A Call to Our Nation’s Liberal Majority to Restore American Values, described as “a short inspirational call to action for all Americans and an antidote to our current climate of cynicism and disillusionment.” Hyperion will release the $2.99 ebook in May.
