A Favor

June 14, 2012
By Michael Cader

So in the near unspecified future both of your full-time Publishers Lunch correspondents are gong to attempt something very rare–truly unwired vacations. Which is a good occasion to ask for all readers’ attention on an important matter of protocol. Please make sure that you send all of your general news to info@publishersmarketplace.com only, and all of your deal news to deals@publishersmarketplace.com only. Sharing your news with us is that simple! And if you don’t send your information to the right place, it’s very likely that we will not report it at all. Please use our personal addresses (someonesname@publishersmarketplace.com) for personal correspondence only, not any news or deals.

I know many of you have been to taught to observe different protocols and some of you feel as if it’s impersonal to send mail to a general address. But I assure you that we see and look at everything sent to those address. We are a small team processing a huge amount of information; part of how we can do that successfully is by having your news go to the right place to begin with, where the right people can see it (and without it getting locked up in anyone’s personal mailbox). Thanks for helping us help you.

In other small bulletins, we’ve made a couple of nice adjustments to the Job Board recently in response to customer suggestions. Starting with new jobs posted starting Tuesday, June 12, the “job management” page for people who list their job opening with us will now show you the total number of page views for your listings. Also, though we have always avoided filling the entire site with social media bling, each individual job listing now carries simple buttons to help visitors share Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.
