At Penguin Books, Tara Singh has been promoted to associate editor.
The Writer, which was due to go on hiatus with the October 2012 issue after more than 125 years of continuous publication, has been acquired by Madavor Media, a privately held niche and enthusiast media company, from Kalmbach Publishing (which also sold off Birdwatching Magazine in the same deal.)
Various government agencies, including the Pentagon and the CIA, are now reviewing manuscript copies of NO EASY DAY by “Mark Owen” (since identified as retired Navy SEAL Matt Bissonette), the firsthand account of the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden that Dutton will publish on September 11.

The source for last week’s rumor that a “Vintage sales rep” revealed to fans that a fourth manuscript had been delivered to Vintage by EL James turned out to be a new print magazine that’s apparently available on newsstands today. James, however, denied the rumor via Twitter.
