Kelly Gallagher will join Ingram on October 8 as vp, content acquisitions, reporting to chief content officer Phil Ollila. Gallagher was most recently vp, publishing services at Bowker, and in his new role will lead Ingram’s selling and business development activities for print-on-demand and digital distribution products, based in New York. In addition, Pep Carrera has been named chief information officer at Ingram, reporting to coo Shawn Morris. Carrera was previously chief technology officer at RAPP.

Gemma Cooper has joined The Bent Agency, representing children’s and young adult fiction, based on London but taking on clients from both the UK and the US. She was at Bright Literary Agency, where she represented a wide range of children’s book authors and author/illustrators.

In the Putnam and Amy Einhorn Books publicity department, Katie Grinch has been promoted to assistant director of publicity, and Katie McKee has been promoted to publicity manager.

At Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Katrina Kruse has been promoted to senior marketing manager and Simmi Aujla has been promoted to senior publicity associate.

Alice Crider has joined WordServe Literary as an agent. She was formerly in acquisitions at WaterBrook Press, and lead her own editorial service.

In the UK, Julia Posen will move into the new position of evp and commercial director, group rights and development at the Walker Group. The Bookseller says it is “the first position to be announced as part of the recently appointed chief global development officer Helen McAleer’s future plans for the group rights and development division.” Posen will report to McAleer.

Black Dog & Leventhal has partnered with Open Road to digitally publish, distribute, and market as ebooks a selection of their titles.
