Another Chance at Frankfurt, As PLC Moves to Tuesday (October 8)

May 28, 2013
By Michael Cader

Even before TOC abruptly closed their business, we were already planning to move our Publishers Launch Frankfurt conference to Tuesday, October 8 — the main pre-Frankfurt conference day — after a successful run on the slightly-too-early Monday, so that more FBF attendees can make our event a regular part of their Frankfurt calendar.

Last year’s remarkable PLC Frankfurt featured 11 c-level executives from publishers and retailers all over the world and this year’s program will include the same unique, high-level strategic and operational analysis of issues faced by trade publishers globally transitioning to a more digital world. We’ll continue the major themes on deck tomorrow at BEA, looking at scale and consolidation across the publishing world, while also evaluating changing attitudes toward DRM, strategies for successful vertical publishing, and the implications (and opportunities) in the explosion of digital publishing directly from new entrants, authors and agents.Since people plan early for Frankfurt, registration is open with, with our best early pricing available through mid-July only. Register here, and for a taste of what we have in store, check out some of the rich audio files (and presentation slides) preserved from our October 2012 event, indexed here.
