Bigger and Broader, Digital Book World 2014

September 23, 2013
By Michael Cader

The big fifth annual Digital Book World Conference has officially opened for registration, convening at the Sheraton Hotel in New York City January 13 – 15, 2014. DBW now stands alone as largest book publishing conference focused on the digital transition worldwide.

Back with a broader view than ever, DBW 2014 will expand to incorporate new tracks on change management; marketing and discover; new business models, startups and technology; and academic and scholarly publishing; while continuing to examine digital change in children’s publishing as part of the partnership with Publishers Launch Conferences.

DBW 2014 will feature more executives and thought-leaders from inside and outside the publishing business than ever before, with initial announced speakers including The Everything Store author and Bloomberg Businessweek author Brad Stone on Amazon, and O’Reilly Media founder and ceo Tim O’Reilly.

Many more announcements will follow, including some exciting partnerships with other organizations to expand the reach and scope of Digital Book World; a line-up of very well-targeted workshops; and another big dedicated day of Launch Kids on January 13 to open the show. Additionally, DBW will feature the presentation of the refocused and renamed Digital Book Awards.

As a founding co-presenter of DBW, we continue to be able to present Publishers Lunch readers with this important, standing offer: You will get the best deal available on individual DBW tickets. Publishers Lunch readers are eligible for a standing 10 percent discount in posted conference and Total Access tickets at all times.

This year we have a streamlined registration page that makes it much easier for you to use our code LUNCH to claim your savings (and to see the price difference). Just make sure you are using this link when you register.
