Our Show of Shows

September 4, 2013
By Michael Cader

It’s a big month or so on the horizon for Publishers Launch Conferences. On Thursday, September 26, in New York, we’re convening two events of interest along with our partners at Digital Book World. One is a full-day conference on modern book marketing tools, techniques and services. It’s a coherent, comprehensive curriculum on how to market in a digitally-driven age. Now that marketing a book is everyone’s job, this approach will be accessible and valuable to people across the publishing business — authors, agents, editors, marketers and more. Our code LUNCH will still save your $50 when you register, and through Sunday DBW is providing a free one-year membership to their online community to anyone who registers.

On a second floor at the same location, we have our first-ever Publishing Services Expo — three efficient “mini-conferences” providing practical overviews of new services targeting Editorial and Production/Workflow needs; Digital Distribution and Asset Management; and digital solutions for better Rights and Royalties management. You can come for just the one session that targets your specific needs (each session is about two-and-a-half hours) or stay for the whole day. It’s a very affordable ticket for a lot of informational value, and each session includes speed-dating with relevant vendors and experts.

Then on Tuesday, October 8, we convene our high-level trade publishing and digital strategy event on the book world’s biggest international stage: Publishers Launch Frankfurt, presented with the Frankfurt Academy. We’ll pair close to a dozen CEOs and other leaders from both big multinationals and significant startups with an audience of decision-makers from 16 countries and counting, at the premier Frankfurt conference for trade publishing executives. Check out the full program and use the code PL13PartnerMC20 for a 20 percent discount on the posted price.
