Associate publisher of Thomas Dunne Books Pete Wolverton has taken on the the additional title of editor-in-chief.

St. Martin’s publisher at large Dan Weiss is resigning on October 30 after 4 years with the company. He can be reached at dweissco@gmail.com. Weiss will focus on consulting, strategic investment and philanthropy.

Also at St. Martin’s, marketing manager Eileen Rothschild has been promoted to associate editor. She will also be the content coordinator for SMP’s e-originals.

David Adams has joined Open Road Media as an associate acquisitions editor. Previously he was a literary scout with Sanford J. Greenburger Associates, and before then an editor with MacAdam/Cage.

Abrams announces a US printing of 5.5 million copies of Jeff Kinney’s latest Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck for the November 5 release. With those copies, the house reports, the series will have over 115 million books in print worldwide (across 44 territories).

Spain’s Pontas Literary & Film Agency has paired with The Lontar Foundation in Jakarta to work on the international promotion of Indonesian literature, in preparation for Indonesia’s role as guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2015. Pontas agency director Anna Soler-Pont was the international agent of the Nobel Prize candidate Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and she served as Commissary for the Catalan when they were FBF’s featured guest in 2007.
