At Vintage/Anchor, Russell Perreault has been promoted to vp, executive director of publicity & social media, continuing to report to Anne Messitte. In a statement she said Perreault “has always had a keen instinct for partnership in the greater media landscape. Working closely with film and television companies, he has built the imprints’ movie tiein program to one of the largest in the industry. And, in the social media space, Russell has been strategically expanding consumer reach both for our publishing program and for our authors.” In addition, Kate Runde has been promoted to director of publicity.

At Nicholas Brearley Publishing, Jennifer Campaniolo has been named publicity and marketing manager, working in the Boston office. She was most recently a publicist at Shambhala Publications.

FSG is going back to press for another 30,000 copies of George Packer‘s THE UNWINDING which won National Book Award for nonfiction Wednesday.

At the FutureBook conference’s Innovation Awards, Sourcebook publisher and ceo Dominique Raccah was honored as the Most Inspiring Digital Publishing Person of the year. Chair of the judges Philip Jones said, “Dominique has a real passion for digital, and she showcases every day, on Twitter, in her office, and at conferences, all the attributes an inspiring digital leader should possess. She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, open and practices what she preaches.”

Author of over 50 books and self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne died Wednesday in a California hospital. She was 77. Harper One svp and publisher Mark Tauber said: “We are saddened by the loss of Sylvia Browne, a woman of generous spirit and genuine one-of-a-kind personality.  She will be sorely missed by her legions of fans and followers, and the thousands of people she was so faithfully committed to helping in this world.”

Columbia University Press will sell and market all Dalkey Archive Press titles worldwide starting February 1, 2014. As of January, they will distribute frontlist titles for Harrington Park Press and all titles for Germany-based ibidem Press‘s English-language titles (except for in China and India).
