Hachette svp publishing operations and strategic planning Craig Bauer is leaving, to join Macmillan Science and Education as svp of global publishing operations.

Macmillan Publisher Services has appointed Guy Browning as vp, fulfillment, reporting to global trade coo Andrew Weber. Browning, who starts his new position on January 27, moves over from Macmillan UK, where he was most recently distribution director for their center in Swansea, Wales.

Richard Nash has joined Byliner as vp, partnerships. Previously he was vp, community and content at Small Demons.

At Henry Holt, Allison Adler and Caroline Zancan are both being promoted to associate editor.

At Penguin Random House Audio, Alex Chernin has been promoted to publicist, while Maren McCamley moves up to subsidiary rights and editorial manager.

At S&S Children’s, Sooji Kim has been promoted to assistant marketing manager.

Jane Starr Literary Scouts has been appointed U.S. scout for Editora Autentica in Brazil and Newton Compton in Italy.

Linda Clark is now scouting for DeAgostini libri (except for YA).

Jo Nesbø is the latest bestselling author to join the Hogarth Shakespeare international publishing initiative, writing a retelling of Macbeth.
