At Ten Speed Press, Erin Welke has been promoted to associate publicity & marketing manager while Daniel Wikey moves up to associate marketing manager.

At St. Martin’s, John Nicholas has been promoted to associate marketing manager.

Kait Heacock has joined The Feminist Press as publicist. She was previously publicist at The Overlook Press.

At the Erin Murphy Literary Agency, Tricia Lawrence has been promoted to agent.

The ABA membership officially ratified the board nominations made in February. The transition will take place at BEA (when the ABA holds its annual meeting), with Betsy Burton from The King’s English Bookshop beginning her two-year term as ABA president, and Robert Sindelar from Third Place Books starting his two-year term as vice president/secretary.

Leslie Ferraro has been promoted from evp for global marketing, sales and travel operations at Walt Disney’s theme park division to serve as president of Disney Consumer Products, effective immediately. That division includes Disney Publishing Worldwide.

In the UK, Helen Thomas will join Orion Children’s in July as editorial director, reporting to Fiona Kennedy. Thomas has spent the past five years at Scholastic UK.

Sarah Odedina has joined Oneworld as children’s publisher. Previously she was managing director at Hot Key Books.

Longtime Ottawa bookseller David Dollin died on May 1 after a brief battle with cancer.
