14 Years and Growing, With An Anniversary Discount

November 18, 2015By Michael Cader

Over at PublishersMarketplace.com we’re marking our 14th birthday (which must translate to some far larger number in internet-dog years, or what the NYT would probably call “unicorn time”). The site was actually our second start-up, coming about a year and a half after we started Publishers Lunch — which therefore turned 15 early this year, but since we didn’t know we were starting something enduring at the time, the precise date of origin remains a bit mysterious.

To celebrate, we spent the last year (and more) completely rebuilding our server architecture and codebase to speed up the site and expand our capabilities for continued growth — and we are offering a limited-time introductory discount: Try PM now and get the first month’s membership for only $15, by using the enrollment code First15 when you enroll.

On most days, people sign up for our full, paid service to get access to our complete news coverage and unparalleled analysis (the longer Publishers Lunch Deluxe email, full news stories and full news archives at lunch.publishersmarketplace.com, and comprehensive headlines and links from all over through our Automat) — and/or for our revolutionary Deals coverage, where we recently passed over 100,000 reports.

But PublishersMarketplace has an extensive set of unique resources that people throughout the trade rely on. We host over 1,500 easy-to-post Member Web Pages (which garner more than 200,000 focused page views a month), including pages for almost 550 agents/agencies alone. The Book Tracker, our first major user interface innovation, automatically tracks Amazon and BN.com sales rank for over 20,000 unique ISBNs — which it also matches to our amazing databases of major bestseller lists and full-length book reviews, plus we track and log Amazon price changes, Amazon stock availability, and more.

Dealmakers, our second major UI, produces live, updated pages for about 20,000 agents, editors, agencies and imprints; has ranked lists to survey those entities across dozens of sub-categories; offers individual country overviews for almost 60 nations; integrates our Contact database directly onto individual pages; and connects imprints to their parent companies and distributors through one-click relationship trees.

And Super Search, introduced a couple of years, reveals everything from across our multiple databases in one page, to help unlock the millions of database records on our site around people, companies and books.

The best way to understand and enjoy the depth of resources at PM is to sample them for a month, so join in the celebration and take advantage of that First15 discount code now.
