Renee Sedliar has been promoted to the new role of editorial director for Da Capo Lifelong Books. She is charged with “bringing Lifelong to the next level, further growing this crucial part of the Perseus publishing program by exploring new subject categories and taking the lead in charting Lifelong’s editorial course.”

At Kobo, Pieter Swinkels has been promoted to evp, publisher relations and content, while Dave Anderson moves up to evp, content sales.

Elizabeth Evans has left the Jean V. Naggar Agency, where she was an agent for the past five years, to launch Elizabeth Evans Editorial, providing freelance editorial and publishing consulting services. Naggar Agency president Jennifer Weltz said in the announcement: “Elizabeth Evans has been a tremendous asset to the agency and will be deeply missed. Her care for her authors and editorial acumen has resulted in a number of critically acclaimed works. We wish her all of the best in her new endeavor.”

At Dutton, Jamie Knapp has been promoted to assistant director of publicity.

At Farrar, Straus Children’s, Janine O’Malley has been promoted to executive editor.

At Putnam, Sara Minnich has been promoted to senior editor.

At Harper, Hannah Wood has been promoted to editor, reporting to Jonathan Burnham. Jillian Verrillo has been promoted to associate editor.

At Roaring Brook Press, Emily Feinberg has been promoted to associate editor.

Adam Kowit has joined the book team at America’s Test Kitchen as executive editor. Previously he was a senior editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s culinary division.

Caroline Pincus has resigned her position as associate publisher at Red Wheel/Weiser effective January 8, after 10 years with the company. She can be reached at cpincus100@sbcglobal.net.

Mary Anne Thompson Associates has been appointed children’s and adult book scout for Zysk i-Ska in Poland.
